Now a group of "young americans' launched an online petition where they urge show host Jon Stewart to endorse presidential candidate John Kerry. "For better or worse, you are a primary source of news for people of our generation. As one of the few people who will call politicians and public figures on their actions, you have earned the respect of a demographic fed up with being treated as consumers, rather than participants with a stake in their future," they write. 560 people have signed the petition so far. Apparenty for all kind of reasons. A guy posted this comment: "Dear Jon...my son, who's 5 years old, named our cat Jon Stewart. In the name of our cat, please endorse John Kerry for president!"
